„FlamingStar“ Campaign by Eurogames Stockholm
EuroGames Stockholm has successfully launched its #FlamingStar Twitter Campaign.
Everybody should join this fantastic awareness raising campaign to show his/her support for diversity in sport.
EuroGames Stockholm wants to tackle discrimination in the world of sports.
The #FlamingStar is a symbol for that struggle. Everyone is welcome to hold the #FlamingStar, no matter who you are or what you believe in.
By carrying the #FlamingStar you’ll take action against discrimination in sports.
„EuroGames Stockholm’s main goal is to work for equality regardless of gender identity, gender expression, ethnicity or sexual orientation within sports, culture and politics.
“The campaign is an initiative to raise awareness around these issues and EuroGames Stockholm that is held between August 5th – 9th“, says Jakob Jansson, President of EuroGames Stockholm.
How it works:
You’ll get in line for the #FlamingStar by signing up at http://flamingstar.eurogamesstockholm.com
When you are about to receive the #FlamingStar you’ll get a direct tweet on Twitter, letting you know that you’re about to get your 15 exclusive minutes with the #FlamingStar.
During that time you can choose to take a “Flamie” (a picture of you with the symbol) or to place the „EuroGames Flame“ into an existing picture which you can then upload to the campaign website.
Then pass it on to a friend or to the next person in line. The goal is to make the #FlamingStar symbol pass through as many hands – and Twitter accounts – as possible all over the world.
Who’s already in line:
The following personalities have already joined the movement: Sweden’s Minister for Health Care, Public Health and Sport Gabriel Wikström, Swedish National Football Team Player Nilla Fischer, former professional football player Victoria Sandell Svensson, German football star Thomas Hitzlsperger, Swedish Football Player Anton Hysen, and of course the
LGBT-Football Calendar.
The campaign #FlamingStar was developed by the advertising agency M&C Saatchi Stockholm and digital agency Sticky Beat. Markus Nyström, founder of Digital Illusions and world famous 3D artist, designed the exclusive #FlamingStar symbol, which also is the official logo of EuroGames Stockholm.
The use of the logo in social media symbolises the stance for everyone’s right to pursue sports regardless of gender identity, gender expression, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
So please hurry up! Take NOW action against discrimination in sports.
