Current life of Brad Thorson
The following season, 2012, he traveled to Regina, Saskatchewan, to practice with the CFL’s Regina Roughriders, but Thorson immediately decided he wanted to give up and pursue a career in business. It doesn’t change everyone’s emotions about him; he’s still the same man, and if he’s happy, they’re glad for him, according to all of his former colleagues who have learned that Thorson is gay.
Currently, he is not married. Thorson resides in San Francisco and plays rugby for the former squad of Sept. 11 hero Mark Bingham, the Fog. He has found the family and support system that so many LGBT athletes have found with “gay” sports teams.
